Verses from my favorite book

I absolutely L.O.V.E the book of Isaiah!! It's hands down my favorite book of the Bible. (Besides Colossians, 1&2 Corinthians, 1&2 Peter, Revelation, Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Hebrews, and Esther. lol)
Anyway, I was re-reading all my high-lighted passages in Isaiah last night, and thought I'd share some of my favorites with y'all.
"For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength'." (30:15)
"It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, for You have cast all my sins behind your back." (38:17)
"Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created the stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of His power, not one of them is missing...Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to Him who lacks might He increases their power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who trust in the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." (40:26 & 28-31)

All I can say about the above verses is "Thank you Jesus" and "Why? Who am I??"
That reminds me of my favorite song by Casting Crowns:

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would chose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

blessings,
