Discussion question

Ok, this should de-lurk this site! :) I thought it'd be fun to post a question for y'all out there to answer and/or give your opinion.
SO, the question is:
Are romance novels ok to read? In what circumstances are they ok to read or not ok? What are your family rules regarding this topic? Is it healthy for a young woman to read romance?

I'll give my opinion on a later post...so I have lotsa time to gather my thoughts on this! Meanwhile, comment, and let me know what YOU think!!

blessings,
~becca~

um....well. Let me think. I would say that no I don't agree with them becuase they give you a warped picture of life, love and marriage. Unlike bubbles I've read many romance novels...lol. and they all presented a picture of perfectness in marriage.

Yup, here here. I agree with bug...they are def unhealthy. I don't think they are like HORRIBLE and condemn anyone who reads them. And i have NO idear what our "fam rules" are, I haven't ever gotten into them, so yeh. Also, it depends on the book too, some take it really far, someone barely mention romance. It really depends. But all in all, if your talking about a REAL "Romance Novel" then, yeh...I don't think they are a good idear.
