"Sweet is true love that is given in vain, and sweet is death that takes away pain."
Alrighty, we're gonna try something new here! So, this is going to be a discussion group/loop/room, thing...w/e you wanna call it really! But, yes, everyone who would like to is going to discuss the quote above by commenting. So, for this particular Group discussion, I was thinking people could comment on what the quote means to them, or what they THINK it means, etc. So, please join in the discussion, and we love hearing from you!

Well, I guess I'll start us off here. Personally, I pretty much get the second part, that makes sense to me atleast. Sweet is death, when it takes away pain. Okay, fair enough. But what about the first part? What does that mean?! "Sweet is true love that is given in vain..." Given in vain?! What do you think that means? Haven't quite figured it out myself! Sweet is true love, that is given with out another thought? Maybe that won't last long, or isn't genuine? What is your "take" on it?!
maybe it means that it is sweet to love someone who doesn't love you back. Like, no matter if they love you or not, you love them. tat's what mesa thinkin.
i don't really care whether i have pain or not-but i agree that i get it-as for the second part-i agree w/ becca:not caring if we get love back or not, just giving it freely.
anyways,good idea w/ the discussion!!
