More on music ;)

Alrighty...this has become my own little mini-series...I will post on the fruits of the Spirit soon, I promise! :)
SO, more about music. Actaully more like more on worship. What exactly is worship and how should Christian music reflect that? Well, I have to admit I've just stumped myself w/ my own question. lol. Well, at least the 2nd half I haven't completely come to any conclusion. Anyway, the dictionary definition of worship is:
1.
reverent honor and homage paid to God
2.
adoring reverence or regard

Ok, so what exactly is reverence?
1.
a feeling or attitude of deep respect tinged with awe.

wow, wow, and wow again. For some reason I really truly can't see half of the Christian artists I know fall under the "reverent" category! That's sad. Where did we go wrong? I think we just lost our focus. Like I said in the last post, we have become too focused on man. Songs these days are about what? How I think, how I feel, what I want. Shouldn't we be singing about God rather then ourselves? Check out the songs the angels sing to God in Revelation: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
Explore the Scriptures...read Psalms. See what God wants from us regarding worship.
